Ernie Haase & Signature Sound

|
Born on December 12, 1964, in Cynthiana, IN, gospel singer Ernie Haase grew up in Newburgh, IN, attending Castle High School, moving on to Oakland City College on a basketball scholarship after graduation. Blessed with a wonderful tenor voice, Haase began singing with the gospel group the Noblemen while in Oakland City, and appeared in a succession of groups, including Earthlight and the DMB Band (Dixie Melody Boys) before joining Redeemed in 1986. He became a member of the legendary Cathedrals in 1990, singing with the group until 1999 when the Cathedrals officially retired from performing. Haase began a solo career, releasing several CDs, including What a Difference a Day Makes (1999) and Never Alone (2000). Forming the innovative gospel quartet Signature Sound with Ryan Seaton, Doug Anderson, and Tim Duncan, Haase released Ernie Haase & Signature Sound in 2005, following it with a holiday album, Christmas with Ernie Haase & Signature Sound in 2006, and Dream On in 2008, all issued by the Gaither Music Group. ~ Steve Leggett, All Music Guide
